DoubleTree by Hilton Wilmington

Just want to give an extra shout-out to Kim. She went above and beyond when I broke a wine glass in my room. She brought a broom and dustpan to my room when I requested them. When she realized I was going to clean it up barefoot. She insisted on doing it for me. Great job!!

Fantastic hotel! My room was pristinely clean, the entire property has been updated and smelled fabulous, the staff are super helpful! It’s a great value for money— feels much more expensive than it is. The only potential drawback is that it’s quite far from the historic district, if that’s why you’re going to Wilmington— but it is close(ish) to the university.

I actually stayed at this hotel last month and I ordered the Bourbon salmon entree and it was amazing.! Super juicy, full of flavor and it came out hot and fast. Hannah was very friendly and easy to talk to. When I came back this month I automatically knew I had to come and eat. I ordered the same thing and it was perfect again. I got to meet the chef this time in passing and had to thank him for his talent. He was humble and thanked me for dining with them instead. I will definitely return to this hotel again and next time bring family and friends for the delicious food and great service. Thank you chef Dre and Hannah!

I stayed at this DoubleTree while on a recent business trip to Wilmington. It is conveniently located near the airport and many restaurants and shopping options if needed. The rooms were clean and well maintained, service and food options are very good. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a quality place to stay outside of the downtown area.

Stayed there for the first and it a great place to spend a night. Affordable and very nicely appointed. The rooms even have usb-c charging ports. Staff was super friendly. I will be back.

Hotel management and front desk staff are very welcoming and great to deal with. Rooms are clean, bar and food are great. Cookie on arrival is my favorite part.

Excellent location by the airport. I stayed 2 nights and the first morning the shower never got more than lukewarm. When I left the room to head to my project meeting, the hallway smelled of sewer. Not so strong it made me sick, but noticeable. I reported both things to the front desk and went about my day. When I came back that evening, I checked in with the front desk for what resolution to the lack of hot water was, and she offered for me to move rooms, which I declined. She then let me know that maintenance advised to let the hot water run 30 MINUTES or so when they weren't busy in that wing of the building. when I went to my room, the hallway smelled pleasant and fresh. The next morning, I guiltily ran the hot water until it was hot, and had a satisfactory shower. The staff were professional and accommodating, so kudos to them for handling poor design or maintenance or whatever caused the issues I experienced.

Rooms are really nice! The Coast Burger it’s out of this world, skip the fries and try their Broccoli Bartender is 10/10. I’ll be back.
